Any fast enough press of the Alt key, even in combination, brings up the HUD

Bug Description
This doesn't happen all the time, and it *might* only start after a suspend/resume cycle, or possible after having the session running for long enough, but when it does start happening it's very, very annoying: any sufficiently fast press of alt, even as part of a combination such as alt-tab, brings up the HUD. In the particular case of alt-tab it's incredibly annoying because you alt-tab, the application on top changes, the hud comes up, you press escape, and the application is popped back out.

I just did a suspend/resume and the misbehaviour started immediately after resuming (and it wasn't misbehaving before suspend).
