All the other "dups" of 932125 are in code that predates c2998.

The exception is this one from "compiz 1:0.9.7.0+bzr3035-0ubuntu1", which should include c2998.

But it very different - e.g. "CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins'" vs "CompizPlugins: [core, composite, opengl, compiztoolbox, decor, vpswitch, snap, mousepoll, resize, place, move, wall, grid, regex, imgpng, session, gnomecompat, animation, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, workarounds, scale, expo, ezoom, unityshell]"

I believe it is a different problem and would love clues on how to reproduce and/or a stack trace.

On the umpteenth restart of compiz I got this error (or something very similar).

And a core file! (Yes, that makes me happy - is that sad.)

I think this really is a duplicate, and not related to the teardown sequence problems that existed after r2987 (and were fixed in r2998). Still digging.
