list plugs in quicklist

Does plank support the quicklist API? I just tried implementing this with libunity and I couldn't get plank to show the dbusmenu as per the example from the libunity docs. I could get progress bar/badge support though.

Update: Just spoke with Rico. Plank does not currently support the dyanmic (dbus) quicklist API, but it will eventually. I'll try my hand at implementing it in Plank so Switchboard and other apps can use it.

So the related branch fixes this bug, though you quickly get a very large list (20+ items) of plugs, and I don't know if that is something you'd want. So i am assigning this bug to elementary UX for some design input.

Well, it's a pretty big menu for sure haha. Are we able to do Submenus? In this way we could have only 4 items for the categories?

If not, I think I'd still rather have the feature. Maybe Cassidy or Harvey would have further input.

I like it. It's a quick way for power users to get to the plug they want without even opening the app. It could pretty much end up that only noobs open the app itself, which is fine. :-P

@cassidyjames: You are talking about "app" aka "switchboard" here. Be aware to use dynamic-quicklists switchboard must be already running to provide this with the proposed implementation. So to have those links available all the time. It needs to be provided by another running damon or implemented as static-quicklist (desktop actions).
