Ubuntu Desktop Guide >> Tips & Tricks >> Compose key

The manual is guiding users to set their "Compose" key from "Region and Language" setting tab in system settings. This does not exist any more. As far as I can see, there is no option to set the compose key currently in 11.10

Modified the reported entry in tips-specialcharacters.page to :

Define a compose key

1. Click the icon at the very right of the menu bar and select System Settings.

2. Click Keyboard Layout and click Options.

3. Find the group called Compose key position. Select the key or keys you would like to behave as a compose key. You can choose keys like Caps Lock, either of the Alt keys, or the menu key. Any keys you select will then only work as a compose key, and will no longer work for their original purpose.

Hi,

this patch looks fine, it can be integrated easily. Just a suggestion that I have, instead of "Click X and click Y", I would write "Click X and then Y".
