live-build already supports ext4 images (ARM has been using them), so should Just Work with the cdimage bits committed.

"Unfixing" the cdimage and live-build tasks for now, as we need to revert this until the livefs builders can actually support building ext4 images. :/

Adam Conrad (adconrad) wrote : Re: [FFe] Wubi should use ext4 disk images

The buildds have finally been upgraded to a kernel release that supports ext4 and, while it's (very) late in the cycle, the changes here are minimal, and the end result is probably more reliable than where we started, just by virtue of using the same default FS as every other install we do.

summary: - Wubi should use ext4 disk images

This broke due to an old resize2fs built into wubi. I'm reverting.
