@Colin Watson -
Hi Colin - Please review my changes to the Lucid debian-installer branch, which adds support for lts-backport-natty kernel: /code.launchpad .net/~kamalmost afa/debian- installer/ bug-834009
https:/
Note that it actually fails to build in my pbuilder, because of this: core-modules- 2.6.38- 10-generic- di /launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ linux-lts- backport- natty
E: Couldn't find package firewire-
... and indeed that package (and other modules) appear to be missing (!?) from the lts-backport-natty archive:
https:/
I do not know why that is. However, our own PPA build of the lts-backport-natty kernel *does* generate a firewire package (and the rest) such that this modification to d-i also builds successfully in our PPA and uses our PPA kernel.
Perhaps you understand the situation with lts-backport-natty? Or have other ideas about how we can get support for lts-backport-natty into Lucid's d-i? Thanks!
