package grub-gfxpayload-lists 0.2.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Just as an additional note, creating an empty file: /usr/share/fglrx/fglrx.grub-gfxpayload seems to allow post installation to succeed, but I'm not sure why this file was missing in the first place.

I reported this today as well, my comments are in bug 827128.

Robert, it's not that grub-gfxpayload-lists depends on fglrx; it's that fglrx fails to clean up after itself properly on removal.

I can make update-grub-gfxpayload ignore broken symlinks to work around this, but the fault really lies with fglrx.

This bug was fixed in the package grub-gfxpayload-lists - 0.4
