revelation not installable due to dependency issue

On current Oneiric, revelation is not installable due to dependency issues. aptitude prints the following:

$ aptitude install revelation

  revelation: Depends: python-gnomeapplet which is a virtual package.
              Depends: gnome-extra-icons but it is not going to be installed.

Upstream seems to have a fix for this, by making the applet optional:
