Bug Description
Hello,
I am running a fully-updated Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on my Acer 1810TZ laptop. Dmesg asks me to report the following information:
$ dmesg|grep acerhdf
[ 19.551974] acerhdf: Acer Aspire One Fan driver, v.0.5.20
[ 19.551980] acerhdf: unknown (unsupported) BIOS version Acer/Aspire 1810TZ/v1.3310, please report, aborting!
Acerhdf (which controls the fan on this machine) works fine with this computer when I download it from the author's site (http://
However updating Ubuntu reverts the system to the generic kernel that ships with Ubuntu which produces the message above (and leaves the fan running all the time).
Please update acerhdf shipping with ubuntu so that this model+BIOS version combination is supported (as is as the case with the current upstream version). Thank you for your work!
