Bug Description
When running transcribe, it permanently uses more than 50 percent of my CPU-Ressources (Core2Duo E8200), which makes my computer slightly irresponsive. This does not happen with other audio player software.

Thanks for the report.
I never noticed it before, but transcribe used in fact more CPU than necessary. There was a bug when updating the GUI that would call the same code infinitely. I just pushed a fix into the bzr repository which addresses this issue.
There might still be more room for improvement, so please report back if this solves the issue for you or if you still notice problems in this area.
