Bug Description

Binary package hint: postfix

Postfix's post-installation script often fails legitimately with hostname problems and apport should provide the user with more information about how to correct that, and also should include more information about the hostname in the apport collection so that triagers can identify the problem more often.

This bug was fixed in the package postfix - 2.8.3-1ubuntu1

---------------
postfix (2.8.3-1ubuntu1) oneiric; urgency=low

  * debian/source.apport: Adding postfix hook to help discover what
invalid hostnames cause bug reports and stop obviously invalid
    names. (LP: #782204)
  * makedefs, sys/utils/sys_defs.h: Apply upstream patch to fix FTBFS
    with 3.0 kernel. (LP: #821609)
