Bug Description

Inkscape 0.48.1 is really slow to start today (1 or 2min~), after investigating, deleting my "AppData\Roaming\inkscape" folder and trying older revision, I have always the same result, Inkscape GUI is frozen for 2min.

With "Process Monitor" I discover that inkscape tried to open some network path (that didn't exist anymore in my LAN network).

And I finally found the file ".recently-used.xbel" used by inkscape to know it's recent files that is full of UNC path like: file:////192.168.1.60/AppVision/Configurations/default/Syno/img/vue_Batiment_B.svg

I understand that the freeze is because of Windows (7-64bits) that tried to open a non existing path and wait for it's internal timeout (maybe 30s ?) but why Inkscape try to open these paths ? as a workaround, it would be quicker to just add them to the recent menu without checking for their presence. And if the user click on the item pointing on the non existing file just warn it with a dialog at this moment.
