Bug Description

There is the urge to increase the distance between system/application indicators (not applications menus) since they are quite apart from each other. the spacing was decreased as a fix to bug 684114 but now this should be increased by 1px since they feel gathered together see comment#1

Original report:
Indicators do not have the same spacing that they have in Unity 2D and the classic desktop, which often results in the menu sliding over to the next one unintentionally. (I.E. I click on the sound menu to change track with my laptops trackpad, and as I move downward, my finger slips sideways and the Messaging Menu is pulled up.)

Spacing in -2D and Unity should be the same. I think we could do with
one extra pixel in the spacing between indicators on Unity and -2D could
follow suit.

I guess this bug can be counted as a bitesize and also if anyone is getting a bite of it this branch https://code.launchpad.net/~canonical-dx-team/unity/unity.fix-684114/+merge/46901 would make things easier for you.

For unity-2d currently I think its 6px distance it might need to be made 4px to match unity.

Personally speaking, I think it would be better to maintain the 6px spacing across the two distributions. I don't know why it was halved for Unity, but it's really a bit of a usability issue.

6px seemed gappy, we tightened it up too much and can expand now by a
small amount to assess that.

It would be cool see it fixed in unity-2d as well, currently icons look so compressed into each other.
