Bug Description

On a Sony VAIO FE31H (Dual Core, 120Gb SATA, 1Gb RAM, GeForce 7400) laptop.

- Install dapper and do all updates.
- Install 686-SMP kernel.
- Install nvidia-glx
- Configure X to use 'nvidia' module.
- Restart PC
- Hit CTRL+ALT+F1 to get tty.

Result is a blank screen.

CTRL+ALT+F7 does successfully resume X session.

Do not have the above problem when using 'nv' module.

Turning off the splash screen i.e. removing 'splash' from grubs 'menu.lst' also removes the issue and with the 'nvidia' module in use you can CTRL+ALT+F1 and CTRL+ALT+F7 backward and forward with no problem.
