Bar title should be cut using a little fade when it's too long

there is a problem with your patch. it uses the color from the background image.

Mh, this is quite strange since I didn't noticed this bug when I made the patch, and neither I can see it now...
I've just recompiled the package with the patch and both the Ambiance and the other metacity themes work as expected both using unity-window-decorator and the standard metacity decorator...
How are you trying the patch?

I have build with this patch in my ppa. added it to the series through
quilt.

This seems quite strange: I've built the patch both for metacity in Maverick and in Natty (that I'm running through VirtualBox BTW) and I never saw that issue... It sounds quite strange to me since the title should be over the metacity bar (that is colored before and below it).
I don't know how to test for fixing it :(.

Trevino, Funny it seems to be working fine at the moment.

This bug was fixed in the package metacity - 1:2.30.3-0ubuntu7
