Bug Description

Binary package hint: file-roller

Right-clicking and then choosing "Extract here" throws up this error.

The archive can only be extracted by double-clicking on it and manually extracting the file(s).

Even after a successful extraction, the error message window still pops up.

Thank you for your bug report. I'm seeing this, too, marking the bug as confirmed. This is very likely a regression introduced by a fix for bug #671691 which adds "--" to the unzip call.
As a workaround: If you install the p7zip-full package, this will be used instead of the standard unzip and extracting should work again.

It seems that the "--" argument is misplaced in the patch. I prepared a fix for this in my PPA : https://launchpad.net/~gilir/+archive/unstable. Can someone test the package to see if it's fixed the problem ?

I downloaded the updated file-roller package and installed it manually. The error message did not pop up when I extracted the same file. I've tried a couple of other zip files and there's been no error so far.

Thanks guys, thanks Julien.
