Bug Description
Binary package hint: software-center
There are two entries for WINE in software-center. They seem to be the same version (even though one says Beta Version). What is the point of having two WINE entries in software center, they are the same version and installing one installs the other. (tested in maverick, natty)

You're right, I've been a while to fix it. The history is that back in the karmic days you could install Wine 1.0 and a Wine beta, 1.1.something. But then 1.2 replaced both of them, but the special workaround entry in software center remained, and so they both do the same thing. The bug is actually in app-install-data though.
