This package does not exist since Karmic: http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=sun-java6-plugin&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all

When I try to open a website with a Java applet on Lucid, Firefox wants to install the icedtea6-plugin package, so probably this should be mentioned.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Actually, the package in the partner repository. Perhaps a note mentioning this should be added?

Well, my bad then.
However, it is a good idea to add a sentence about this - it is not completely obvious that this repository should NOT be disabled for a decent experience, as I just presented this :).

  * Remove sun-java6-jre and -plugin from packages, it has been removed
    from the archive

Replaced with icedtea6-plugin in the natty branch, rev 620. I'll nominate this bug for Lucid as well.
