Bug Description

As shipped, KUbuntu has numerous different Firebird versions, but the "default" Qt build does not enable support. This forces people who would rather not hack and rebuild a "standard" library to do exactly that. Just how difficult can it be to change the master config to this:

...
-qt-sql-psql \
-qt-sql-mysql \
-qt-sql-ibase \
-qt-sql-sqlite \
-system-sqlite \
-qt-sql-sqlite2 \
...

before building a release?

Unfortunately, the ibase/firebird libraries are located in the universe repository, and so the ibase plugin can not be built by default along with the rest of the Qt SQL drivers.

Changed in qt4-x11 (Ubuntu):
status: Confirmed → Invalid
