Bug Description

Like the title says, I added soundconverter with synaptic. It appeared in the menu "audio and video", but without the right logo.

I had to check with synaptic where it was (/usr/share/soundconverter/soundconverter.png) and addd it manually.

It is no big deal, but probably easy to fix.

I am using 0.9.1 from edgy

It's fine in dapper, I don't have an edgy box to test here.

The changelog for 0.9.1-0ubuntu1 says that the .desktop file was removed as one was included upstream.

Is this the problem?

Actually it is an upstream bug.

Confirming and linking to Debian bug.

I've fixed this in my 0.9.3-1 upload to Debian, so it will be fixed in Feisty shortly after it opens. The icon used isn't square, so it may not look great, but it's not bad. This bug is, however, still present upstream.

I'll have a look at the icon and see if I can make it square, and
acceptable.

I think it might look OK if the current one was duplicated vertically,
then the top half flipped horizontally, but I don't know.

I've made it 'stereo' by duplicating but without changing the phase. I've also resized to 64x64.

I'm afraid that the upstream package did not fix anything, rather it broke further. Please see bug #81981 (which has been tagged as a duplicate of this bug, while it is really not, it is a bug report on the bugfix for this bug report.)
