Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-i810

The wrong resolution selected at login and when resuming from hibernate/suspend.

On resuming, the screen resolution is larger than what it should be (1200x800). Restaring X fixes this.

My hardware is an Acer Aspire 3624 with a Intel 900 GMA.

UPDATE: I have the same issue when I switch to any display other than TTY7 (ctl+alt+F7).

How are you getting the 1200x800 resolution in the first place? Are you using 915resolution, or the video-intel driver with mode-settings support?

My resolution is detected out of the box, so I guess that means that it is the Xorg drivers.

NOTE: the the issues appeared within a week of the release candidate. I had edgy running prior to this without this problem.

If you think it would be helpful, I can post my xorg.conf.

I have narrowed down what the actual problem is. Upon resuming (or logging in) the resolution 1280x1024 instead of what it should be (1280x800).
