Bug Description

Binary package hint: ldm

On my server, I currently have the default gnome-session installed, as well as fluxbox and icewm. The options that my thin client gives me:

 * Default
 * gnome-session
 * icewm-session
 * metacity
 * fluxbox
 * icewm

Metacity shouldn't be in there. It's useless by it's own. Icewm is listed twice. It should also be more consistent. For example, a list like this would be better:

 * Default Session
 * Gnome Session
 * IceWM Session
 * Fluxbox Session

or

 * Default
 * Gnome
 * IceWM
 * Fluxbox

A failsafe terminal would also be nice, although not strictly required.

well, a session is different from a standalone windowmanager, thats why they show up twice, but i agree that it should probably be named differently.

Discussed this with ogra. We'll steal^H^H^H^H^H borrow some code from gdm that presents nice lists of environments. Maybe we should do this within ldminfod, i.e., return a colon separated string of sessions: printable name, and executed program:

i.e.:

session:Gnome desktop:/usr/bin/gnome-session
session:KDE desktop:/usr/bin/start-kde

etc.

We'll target for gutsy + 1.
