The box has an old leftover from old upgrades, just nuke it:

sudo rm /var/lib/initramfs-tools/2.6.22-14-generic

Changed in initramfs-tools (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

Thanks, this has gone away now after cleaning up all old 'left behind' packages.
