Binary package hint: kicker

I've seen that after upgrading to kde 3.5.5 from kubuntu repository, it's occur in dapper and edgy.

For Edgy, this is by design, as we want to get rid of media:/ - for more details see:

If you see this in Dapper, it may be that Edgy patches got in Dapper, which I would say is not expected. Can you confirm this for dapper?

This does not seem a better way to me. I can't see unmounted drives in /media. Neither can I see mounted network drives like in media:/ . It is completely

Isn't there a way to change this behaviour in a configuration file?

I should have read before I posted. I wanted to say "it is mostly completely empty, and that doesn't make a link to /media as useful as a link to media:/"
