Bug Description
Binary package hint: casper
When trying to install Ubuntu using a usb dvd rom. Casper appears to be stuck. If you choose "Install Ubuntu" or "Try Ubuntu without installing" from the first screen. It begins to load and you see the purple usplash screen with the orange activity indicator. But that is it. The orange activity indicator keeps going and it never brings up the installer or livefs.
The usb dvd rom is showing constant activity as something is trying to be found on the disc.
The same disc works fine on a built in dvd/cdrom drive.
Turning off the splash screen the last message that shows up on the screen before things start to get stuck is:
"Begin: Creating debconf-communicate mechanism...."
Then you get drive a bunch of i/o errors & squashfs errors.
This is using 10.10 build 9/19.
