Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Clicking on the "Files & Folders" icon in the launcher, selecting a folder then to display its contents in the overlay, and then clicking the "Files & Folders" icon again causes unity/mutter to re-start. I guess it should either close the overlay or switch back to the initial overlay view instead.

For me it just enters what seems to be an infinite loop. Trying to break the loop in gdb seems to indicate that it is some event->clear->redraw loop or something - there is definitely some gdk even handling and mesa_Clear() going on...

Strike my comment #2. When running a full Unity session (not just unity -p) I can reproduce the crash

We have to let this one slide for the 09-22 milestone unfortunately. A suitable fix has not been found.
