Ubuntu One folder not added to 'Places' for fresh install of 10.10 Beta 1

Bug Description

The U1 folder is shown in the home directory but isn't in the 'Places' menu.

This bug fix will help users more easily find Ubuntu One and the special "Shared with Me" folder.

TEST CASE:

1. Click Places

Result: Ubuntu One folder is not in the Places menu
Expected result: Ubuntu One folder is in the Places menu

For what it's worth, this bookmark is not added on the Lucid version of Ubuntu One, either.

This adding of a new bookmark isn't suitable for an SRU, it's even impolitely intrusive for a distribution upgrade. Perhaps it would be more prudent to add it to the Places menu?

Martin, it is a regression from Lucid, and also it's added to the Places menu, that's where bookmarks are shown, apart from other places, like the file chooser, Nautilus bookmarks, etc

As Rodrigo stated, this is a regression, and the only way to add something to the Places menu, is to add a bookmark.

And I gave Rodrigo's branch a rather rigorous review, to ensure that it maintained the same behavior as the previous code which had been removed previously.

Rodrigo, by setting the status of the maverick task to 'Fix released' do you mean you've tested the version in maverick-proposed and it works as expected ?
I'm setting back to 'fix committed' because 1.4.5-0ubuntu1 is not in -updates yet.
