Bug Description

Binary package hint: libdvdread4

When installing libdvdread4 on Ubuntu Lucid, the error the following will remain unconfirmed:

libdvdread4 recommends head > package head is not available

http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/libdvdread4

Reproducible: Always.

Desire result: installs with no error message. Any .deb package should not have a recommends of an unavailable package.

Suggested fix: Remove head as a recommends from .deb install package for libdvdread4

Further, the same condition exists for maverick.

All three of grep, sed, and coreutils are Essential: yes. Please simply remove them from the Recommends line - they're just bloat.

  * grep, sed, head are all part of essential packages. Hence no need to keep
    them in 'Recommends'. (LP: #637756)
