Bug Description

All tracks that were "thumbed up" on a Pandora station are sent to Last.fm as "loved" tracks when station is played.
I'm using version 0.3.1

The ban/love items in the context menu are the thumbs up / thumbs down actions in the Flash Pandora client. This data is additionally sent to last.fm if scrobbling is enabled.

So I say "thumbs up" to tracks that fit well in Pandora stations. I then use Pithos to listen to Pandora for a while, and I go to Last.fm and find that Pithos has added over 100 liked tracks to Last.fm. I don't agree with that behavior.

This is also a bug on the negative side: a thumbs-down on Pandora is not equal to a Ban on Last.fm. Since Pandora has stations, your ratings may vary station to station, and are therefore not universal. Last.fm ratings are universal.

This shouldn't even be default behavior. In my opinion, this is a major bug. This is completely undesirable behavior. "Thumbs up" on Pandora serves a completely different purpose than "love" on last.fm.

Thank you, Kevin. Conflating Pandora Thumbs Up with Last.fm Likes & conflating Pandora Thumbs Down with Bans is the only thing keeping me from what seems like an otherwise excellent piece of sofware.

For now, I'm taking out the Last.fm plugin's rating support altogether. Eventually, I'd like to have the last.fm plugin add a submenu with options to set a rating on Last.fm separately from Pandora's rating. See bug #700568
