Bug Description

Binary package hint: shared-mime-info

.apk files are detected as zip archives, however those files are specific zip archives which contain an android application.

Thank you for your bug report. Is there any icon for this mimetype yet? Is there any software able to do something with those?

I filed this bug because there is a software which can open apk files
(even though it is not part of ubuntu): it's a terminal command called
"adb" and I created a script which uses it. If you want I can paste
the code

There's an APK icon, but unfortuntely I can't find the file now, sorry
(you can look at the screenshot)

In Precise .apk files are recognised as application/vnd.android.package-archive. By default .apk files are opened by file-roller, but icon is textfile's icon. I'm going to mark this bug as Fix Released. If you want .apk files to have special icon, reopen this bug or file new.
