Bug Description

Binary package hint: indicator-session

Recent versions of ubiquity (and hence oem-config) have introduced indicator applet functionality in the form of a panel at the top of the screen. This applet includes "Lock Screen", "Log Out...", "Restart...", and "Shutdown".

The lock screen, restart, and shut down options all operate properly. The Log Out option doesn't do anything, and shouldn't be present when running ubiquity or oem-config's panel.

Thank you for your bug report, is ubiquity using gnome-session?

It launches gnome-settings-daemon, it doesn't appear that gnome-session is launched however.

I think that ubiquity and oem-config should set the gconf key:

  /apps/indicator-session/suppress_logout_menuitem

To true. That way it wouldn't be there. In the no gnome-session case it's supposed to talk to ConsoleKit, though I'm usure why that wouldn't work.
