WebCollage screensaver doesnt work

you could run g-s from terminal:

gnome-screensaver --no-daemon --debug

and attach a log here

here is the log that you requested i ran command locked screen logged back in than ctrl+c terminal and here is the output.

from the log:

I think here is the problem =) No /usr/dict/words found, which makes it to die.

hmm, it isn't that simple.. /usr/dict/words is just one of the dicts it is trying to find.

ok, it's just some missing dependencies.. netpbm and libjpeg-progs need to be installed, so xscreensaver-data-extra should depend on them.

reassign to xscreensaver-data-extra

netpbm is what ogra said it wasnt looking to or couldnt find and needs but thank you for looking at it :)

Timo there doesnt seem to be a seperate package for xscreensaver-data-extra in the LP list to choose it, maybe it is combined with xscreensaver for Lp. This is also not working on feisty nor edgy.

indeed, they both are from the same source (xscreensaver). Should've known better :)

This is still a problem on edgy and feisty also.
