This bug was fixed in the package ubiquity - 2.3.6

---------------
ubiquity (2.3.6) maverick; urgency=low

  * Redirect console blanking setterm command to /dev/console so it is effective
    with upstart.
  * Show the proper derivative name for prepare_foss_disclaimer on stepPrepare.
  * Fallback to NM icons if the wifi icons don't load (such as humanity missing).
If still fail, don't crash, just don't show icons. (LP: #617696)
  * Pass the output of wget calls into /dev/null to prevent files popping up in ~.
  * If available, run xfsettingsd in ubiquity only mode.
  * ubiquity-dm: wait for gsd to fork to prevent a race condition in setting
    ubiquity styles.
  * Add missing imports for LabelledEntry, causing timezone and console_setup to
    not function in oem-config mode.
  * Fix the partitioner trying to offer resize options in the GUI when it shouldn't.
    (LP: #617729)
  * Revert additional changes to gtk_ui from r4183 that were causing the window to
constantly resize and the auto partitioner to break.
  * Automatic update of included source packages: flash-kernel
    2.28ubuntu5.

Ok, let me say what I understand:

First my ubuntu live cd is unable to install because of the 141 error in ubiquity-partman.
Then you said that I need to change the ubiquity package because Maverick has the 2.3.13, and I need the 2.3.6 so I have to downgrade it. Right?
After a searching for that 2.3.6 version I downloaded the .deb and before that I desintalled in Synaptics the actual version so I can make the downgrade.

But I don't know how to do it. I tried just double clicking but it doesn't work.

How do I install ubiquity 2.3.6? Or how do I make Maverick's installation allow me to install the system? (I'm newbie).

Thanks so much!

Just in case it helps -
I had the 141 error too trying to install kubuntu 10.10 daily build 20 Sep into a virtualbox VM.
I think the Disk setup has not got permission to create partitions. Lack of "sudo"?

Boot the live CD and open a terminal
sudo partman
and then go through, auto creating partitions and filesystems (but you might want to be a bit selective).
The run the install, and it works.
