Menus display no buttons in Fedora 13 on AMD 890 onboard graphics

Bug Description
Motherboard: Asus M4A89GTD Pro with AMD 890/4290 graphics adapter on board.
Fedora 13 witn opensource driver (AMD closed source driver does not work, X does not start, so not tried)
Menus have no buttons, dialogue boxes don't display, screen text corrupt.
Everything else seems to display fine.
