Bug Description

Avant Window Navigator 0.4.1-rewrite-bzr716-lucid1-1

The following items are not translatable at the moment. Some of them have been reported already.

1. Click a launcher with right click, "Remove launcher", "Minimize all", "Maximize all", "Unminimize all", "Maximize all" are not translatable.

2. Awn settings, Applets: Applet categories are not translatable (bug #587178)

3. Awn settings, Applets: Click "Install applet...", window will open. "AWN Applet Package" is not translatable.

4. Awn settings, Themes: Click "Install theme...", window will open. "AWN Theme File" is not translatable.

5. Awn settings, Themes: Theme details are not translatable.

6. Awn settings, Themes: Click "Customize...", Thickness cannot be translated.

7. Awn settings, Task Manager: Click "Add...", window (Desktop entry editor) will open. Items here cannot be translated.

8. Awn settings, Advanced: Some options here are hard to translate because even the English description is, well, too advanced. A good example is "matching strength", what?

I can confirm these (but as to nr. 1 I have only the "Remove launcher" option with my launchers).
Nr. 6: should be fixed with a simple update of the language template file.
Nr. 7: This is translated here: https://launchpad.net/libdesktop-agnostic - I don't know if it works though
Nr. 8: Oh yes! The ini-description for that setting actually says: "How radical matching is applied for grouping items. The value should be between 0 and 99. 0 is as good as no grouping. 99 will match almost everything."

Gabor, #1 requires the application to be in use (open) and it has to have multiple windows. For example Empathy with main window and chat window will show you the non-translatable strings.

#7 Thank you for this, I'll translate those and try if it works.

#8 Well, even after reading the description at least I was a bit confused. After trying some different values and googling (blogs, awn wiki), I finally understood the meaning of it.

This patch fixes problem #1. It does not update the language template file, please do that manually. (Because I have one more patch, and they would depend on each other otherwise.) The "Remove Launcher" string is already translatable, but not in the language template file yet.

This patch fixes #3 and #4 and also makes a bunch of other strings translatable. It also changes AWN to the official abbreviation Awn, see https://answers.launchpad.net/awn/+question/60452

Please update the language template file manually, which would fix #6 as well.

#2 and #5 (Categories and theme details) are more complicated, I can't provide patches for them.
