I don't understand what the bug is here. Yes, there are two spaces at the end of that sentence. I don't know how I did that (it's not my normal style or anything), but it's an XML document, so what difference does it make?

It would be an error to change ".)" to ")." here. The sentence started inside the brackets, so it should end inside the brackets.

From a translators perspective it's not obvious that the string will be displayed with only one space and so might try to maintain the double space.

I believe that the parentheses should be within the previous sentence and the . be is implied at the end of a parentheses, please check the grammar for US English.

It doesn't matter if translators do try to maintain the double space, but sure, remove it if you like.
