notify-osd not started in unity

Bug Description

maverick alpha2 image (live and installed version) doesn't start the notify-osd daemon by rather the older notification system.

When trying to start /usr/lib/notify-osd/notify-osd, I get:
Another instance has already registered org.freedesktop.Notifications
Could not register instance

Something seems to trigger directly the old notification method which runs the race for dbus registration.

Was due to ubuntu package, added the une session.
