Bug Description

the problem is not only that mesa-common-dev is in conflict but all of these headers too because they depend on mesa-common-dev:

libglitz1-dev, libglewmx1.5-dev, libsdl-mixer1.2-dev, libqt4-opengl-dev, compiz-dev, libgl1-mesa-dev, libglitz-glx1-dev, libsmpeg-dev, libsdl-image1.2-dev, libcompizconfig0-dev, libsdl-gfx1.2-dev, libgle3-dev, libsdl1.2-dev, libglu1-mesa-dev, libglut3-dev, libquicktime-dev, libalberta2-dev, freeglut3-dev, libglew1.5-dev, libglpng-dev (and a lot more which I did not use until now in any of my projects)

I use Ubuntu 10.10 on a Sony Vaio VGN-Z21MN with Hybrid Graphics (Intel [8086:2a42](i915) and NVidia [10de:06e5]).

I need nvidia-current-dev to build VDPAU accelerated mplayer but I need all the other headers as well..

This bug was fixed in the package nvidia-graphics-drivers - 256.35-0ubuntu2

---------------
nvidia-graphics-drivers (256.35-0ubuntu2) maverick; urgency=low

  * debian/nvidia-current-dev*, debian/control.in:
    - Revert my previous changes which involved adding conflicts
      with other dev packages and installing the headers directly
      in /usr/include (LP: #600397).

This bug still affects the Ubuntu X-Swat PPA packages.

Also: Sorry, I didn't mean to subscribe the Ubuntu X-Swat team to this bug, this seems like a rude thing to do but I can't undo it! I only wanted to associate it with their packages.

Changes in Maverick packages are now synced with the Ubuntu X-Swat PPA, thank you very much! The issue is solved.
