Bug Description

My Palm synched on Ubuntu 9.10 for quite a while. A few updates ago, not sure which one it stopped. Here is the output from syslog:

Thinking the Palm device might have gone bad, I tried synching to MS Outlook, and that worked fine. Is there a workaround for this? This problem shows up as the Palm needing to be reset.

Do you have an earlier kernel you can try with?
Can you try installing the pilot-link utilities, and see if you can connect with "pilot-xfer -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -l" (or try ttyUSB1, not sure which is correct for your palm)?
