Live CD install of Edgy hangs

Bug Description

I downloaded the Knot-2 live cd (i386) and tried to install it.

When starting the partition manager, it says 'The resize operation is impossible'. Then I click 'OK' and choose to manually edit the partition table, but from there on the installer hangs...

So I have to force-quit the installer... No installation for me; I'm trying the alternate cd now, but this should be fixed before final release I think.

Thanks for your bug report. Could you give us a little more information to help us debug your problem?

A copy of your /var/log/installer/syslog would be helpful, as well as a description of your partition scheme when you were trying to install (eg. size of partitions, filesystem(s) on each, etc.).

When I plug in my Kingston USB-stick (/dev/sda1/ mounted at /media/KINGSTON) before starting the installer, it does not hang.
