Bug Description

Having evolution installed is pointlessly redundant with desktop-webmail also installed. In the interest of making this a lightweight install for lower powered armel devices, it is recommended to uninstall evolution. Users can install it manually from main if desired.

Both applications have been tested on armel architecture.

After merging the linked branch, the netbook-meta source must be downloaded, ./update run, and the result build into a new package and uploaded to close this bug. The related issues with images should be closed a while after the branch is merged (but it depends on a number of factors).

Too late to change this for Lucid. If this were really a high-impact bug, it would have been reported much earlier than one week before the release.

after discussion with two persons from teh ubuntu-sru team we will attempt an SRU upload of netbook-meta against a changed seed that contains the change for lucid, reopening teh lucid task and milestoning it for 10.04.1 (note it wont have any impact on already installed lucid armel systems)

I would like to add that Evolution is admittedly unusable on netbooks.
This has been pending on Bug #23810 Bug #23810 5 years and upstream for 6 years already.

This was moved to lucid-updates a while ago. I confirm that the armel package doesn't depend on evolution any more.
