Contact Picker - Unable to share with one existing and one new contact

I complained about the inability to simply type an e-mail address to share to someone about 2 months ago, while trying to test some fixes to the nautilus extension, and was told "adding new contacts is not part of the spec for lucid." So why is this now somehow important for lucid?

It's also a new feature, and we're already past Final Freeze. I think it's pretty safe to say we can't do this for lucid now.

To clarify, I recall that John Lea told me that adding new contacts from the contacts picker was not part of the spec, as is implied by entered addresses which aren't in the contacts list yet. There is also no way to select an alternate address for a contact.

Adding new contacts from the picker is indeed part of the spec, and is already available in the version in Lucid. This bug is about not being able to add a new contact when there is already a selected one, which is indeed a bug that should be fixed for lucid

This bug was fixed in the package ubuntuone-client - 1.2.1-0ubuntu1
