package mythbuntu-gdm-theme (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/share/images/xsplash/logo_small.png', which is also in package ubuntu-xsplash-artwork 0:0.8.5-0ubuntu1

Deinstalled the package mythbuntu-default settings to solve the problem for my Netbook Remix system.

Removing package "mythbuntu-default-settings" solves this problem for me. I'm on Ubuntu lucid beta1 desktop edition i386.

Confirmed, but why did it try to install this package?

I don't have mythbuntu installed either, no idea why it tried to install it!

I removed the package to and I've got no failure notices any more

I did not removed the package but the problem is gone for now.

Howdy all,

If you are seeing any references to 0.5-0ubuntu1, then you may encounter this problem. For example, Frank has "mythbuntu-gdm-theme_0.5-0ubuntu1_all.deb" appearing several times in his capture.

The fixed version is "mythbuntu-gdm-theme_0.6-0ubuntu1", and it is slowly migrating to the mirrors now. Some mirrors may not sync until tomorrow though, so you may have to be patient.
