Bug Description

This may not be possible because of banshee, but there should be a different icon for banshee for when it is playing and when it isn't, just like rhythmbox. I have a proposed solution included.

Not something we can fix in Humanity alone. This needs to be approved/resolved in the application first.

I'm not against this, but doesn't colour in the notification area/indicator application generally mean that some action is needed or something?

@hyperair:
Its was just an idea. if we have 2 provision to use different icons we can come up with a final icon that is acceptable to all. ;-)

I see what you mean about color, but I think a minimalistic icon is more important than a monochrome icon. For me, I keep banshee running 24/7 and play music about 25% of the time I'm on my computer. For the rest of that time, it would be nice if all of the colors in the panel were uniform (monochrome). Sadly they changed the messaging indicator to be faded, then the uniform color when you get a message instead of it turning green (wish it would be changed back). So if banshee is the standard grey color when it is idle, what would it look like when it is playing? If it is faded, it doesn't make sense, I wouldn't add more geometry into such a small icon, so I figured blue might be appropriate. But that is just my opinion and is ultimately the choice of the artists.

I think stopped should be the default icon, i.e. media-player-banshee or
banshee-panel. What about playing instead of stopped?

@hyperair, that could work as well.Once upstream decides i could change it. [which i dont think would be anytime soon.]
I'm really not convinced we need a -buffering icon though. I just included since you mentioned it upstream
But first, get upstream to implement it! ;p

Yes, yes, the upstream changes should come first. Adding the icons for the time
being is a little premature, but at least it comes at a small cost.
