Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

leftover from 526290 ... we should do something similar like we do in firefox:

+ install the gnome components in the main package
+ strip the gnome dependencies from the main package
+ add the gnome dependencies to the -gnome-support package (which besides from that is empty)

  * Fix LP: #543060 - gnome integration should work even without -gnome-support.
Move the gnome components to the main thunderbird package whilst using
thunderbird-gnome-support to pull in the gnome dependencies:
    - update debian/rules
    - remove debian/thunderbird-gnome-support.postinst.in
    - remove debian/thunderbird-gnome-support.prerm.in
    - add replaces/breaks to thunderbird on previous versions of
thunderbird-gnome-supportm to ensure the upgrade works

Chris, This bug is about clicking on links in TB3 and getting the open with applications dialogue pop up?
If so this is not fixed in Daily packages but seems that this fix was pushed to .head.? Still broken using new profile and safe-mode.
I'm going to reopen this bug so i can find it in less than 1 hour when i need it in next day or 3.

This report is tagged 'regression-potential' and set to 'incomplete' without activity for more than 3 months. Could you please clarify if it's fixed in Maverick or not ?

Thanks in advance.

This was fixed in Maverick.. This bug was to install the libs in thunderbird and just use the binary -gnome-support package for the binary depends which was completed. Please file a new bug if you're still having issues with something else.
