Bug Description

Binary package hint: cheese

To reproduce:
1: Go to Edit > Preferences
2: Edit the Brightness/Contrast/Saturation/Hue settings to preferred settings
3: Now close Cheese
4: Re-open cheese and you will notice that the settings are not used now
5: Check the edit> preferences , you'll notice the sliders are at the exact same spot as had been set previously but these settings are not used.

To make the preferred settings work again , user has to move the sliders or atleast click on the sliders once which activates the stored settings

Confirmed and reported upstream https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=610823
Please, for the future: I stumbled here by chance and I don't usually check launchpad bugs (and usually ubuntu guys are not so fast upstreaming them), so, if you want Cheese issues to be fixed, please use gnome bugzilla.

Filippo Argiolas , Thanks for the heads up , I'll report bugs directly to bgo ..

I'll also _try_ to check if there are other cheese bugs which need forwarding upstream as well.

@Filippo Argiolas , The bug has been fixed in upstream Master. Will it be available in the next release 2.30 or did this not make it past the string freeze?

@Vish, sure I doesn't break any freeze, it will be in the 2.29.2 rellease planned for March 9 (and, of course, in 2.30)
