Bug Description

Attempt to play a DVD with menus.

Mousing over the areas of the menu that are supposed to be clickable does not display a highlight, and clicking has no effect.

Thus, it's impossible to start the film playing.

This works fine on karmic.

Also affected.
Same DVD plays flawlessly with VLC player.

I have just uploaded some fixed gst-plugins-good packages to my testing PPA here:

I had the same problem with totem and just installed gst-plugins-good and works fine now great work now i can remove vlc.

This was fixed by:

gst-plugins-good0.10 (0.10.21-1ubuntu2) lucid; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/04_move_farsight_plugins_to_good.patch:
    - Rebased patch on gst-plugins-bad0.10 0.10.18 to fix DVD playing
      issue (LP: #522901, LP: #522897)
  * debian/patches/99_autoreconf.patch:
    - regenerated
