Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

thank you for reporting your bug and helping to make Ubuntu One better. it looks like you are affected by bug 488413 . There has been a fix released for that bug. The newer client with this fix has been released into karmic-updates. You should be able to go to (System > Administration > Update Manager) and run the updates. Then to take advantage of the update quit Ubuntu One and then Restart it.

If the client update does not appear in the Update Manager check (System > Administration > Software Sources) under the 'Updates' Tab make sure the "Recommended updates (karmic updates)" checkbox is checked.
