This bug still exists with the version of clutk in the ppa.

yes, I know, the version of the ppa should only fix the bugs I was commenting on and asked for feedbacks :)

Well, with an up-to-date image of UNE, I don't have any crash playing for 5 minutes with keys in System menu. I think you should narrow the crash to a more precise testcase.

Use-case:

Boot UNE.
Press arrow down until System menu is chosen.
Press enter.
Press right arrow.
CRASH!

Does with beta1 and does with Karmic.

Again, this is not reproduceabl (see my last comment). I don't get that with an uptodate version, can you try upgrade your version to latest to see if you don't have this crash anymore?

If it's still present, we have to figure out why it's chrashing in your case and not in mine.

Ok. I will install beta1 UNE and do an upgrade. Which exact version
should I be re-testing with?

I have installed and upgraded UNE on my laptop.
With netbook launcher 1:2.1.17-0ubuntu1 I cannot reproduce the crash.

The System menu behaves different still though.
When I select the System menu with keyboard (TAB -> arrow down until System -> ENTER)
the System menu appears as expected, but the System icon is not marked.

When clicking on System with mouse, it behaves as expected.
That is, If I first select System menu with keyboard, selecting with mouse does not have any effect.

Should I open a new bug report on this?

Yeah, the crash should be fixed in 1:2.1.17-0ubuntu1 (1:2.1.16-0ubuntu1 to be exact ;)).

Concerning your other issue, yes, please, open a new bug.
Unfortunately, I can't reproduce it here. If I use the key arrow, then select the System, it's hilighted and marked selected as expected.

We should do something different, can you, in the new bug report, expose exactly what keys you press since you start your session? Thanks a lot.
