Bug Description

Steps to reproduce (on ubuntu karmic):

1) Get a development version of Moovida (bzr branch lp:moovida)
2) Launch Moovida with the following command line:
    $ python elisa-core/bin/moovida --shell

Expected result: Moovida starts and you get an ipython shell to play around with the application.

Current result: Moovida fails to start (the splashscreen stays on), the ipython shell is started but it doesn't react to keyboard input.

Confirmed by kaleo on his karmic box. It seems to work on ubuntu hardy. Needs more investigation.

The problem is with PyGTK's interactive event loop (starting from PyGTK 2.16).
See bug #270856 for detailed explanations, I'm working on a fix based on the patch attached there.

The latest free moovida 1.09 does not get any maintenance since a while. Now moovidadb.com is supporting Linux and support can be found at : http://www.fluendo.com/faq/
